Call me crazy: This antique cupola can be repurposed!

Photo of cupola

There is nothing more fun and rewarding than finding something old that has been tossed away and forgotten and bringing it back to life with another purpose.

When I saw this turn-of-the-century cupola (for sale at an architectural salvage firm) from a state mental hospital in Indiana, I thought hmmmm...I could do something with this vintage find.

I think it still has some life with a little creativity!

The top is helmet styled zinc dome and it has such potential. How about an incredible poolside bar, garden house, gatehouse, playhouse, miniature chapel or meditation retreat? Even a lemonade stand?  Entry to a business. The base is 8' x 8'. It can be moved or taken down and prepared for reassembly.

Just think of the stories it could tell!

How would you repurpose this historic piece?
