Celebrating 10 years of inspired decorating with the Interior Redecorators Network

Filled with new ideas for my decorating clients, I have  just returned from the annual Interior Redecorators Network (IRN) conference in Sarasota where decorators gathered from all over the country and Canada.

Wrenda Goodwyn with Lauri Ward and interior designer, Pamela O'Brien of Room Redo in Houston.This year, I was happy and honored to be named as a certified gold member and a ten-year member of the organization.  It seems like yesterday when I was inspired by seeing designer and best-selling author, Lauri Ward on Oprah. I knew I wanted to follow a long-time passion for design and before I could blink, I was in New York City for an amazing training experience and certification by Lauri.

I always return from this conference with fresh approaches to interior decorating that I implement into my business, Spectacular Spaces.  In this economic environment where stress impacts all of us, I work to increase my value to my clients.  I help to put the sizzle into homes and strive to make every home safe, happy and a refuge. It is all about gracious living, beautiful things (not always the most expensive) and making the process fun.

In 1981, Lauri took interior design fromIRN conference lunch at the Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota.  a luxury item previously only for the wealthy, to the masses by beginning her well-known Use What You Have business.  Many national television shows, magazines and book tours later, the rest is history.  I am so appreciative of Lauri’s friendship and guidance.  She is my decorating mentor and business role model. In 1996 she created the Interior Redecorators Network and this gathering was a celebration of 15 years of  bringing affordable decorating to our clients.

So to Lauri Ward and the IRN, thanks for 10 great years of inspired learning.  I look forward to many more and continue to believe that any home can be more beautiful and done affordably.
