Island life: Santa pays a visit to Sanibel and Captiva

Sometimes you just need a holiday break. Today was a perfect day.  A short drive and a world away. Not one shopping mall.

Blue skies, green Gulf waters, swaying palms, white sandy beaches filled with shells.  Perfect place to escape from the holiday rush to enjoy an afternoon on these beautiful barrier islands. This is Christmas island-style.

Lunch on the beach at the Mucky Duck on Captiva Island.
