Trends: Foggy London Meet Cross-town Chic!

The last two trends from Sphere Trending could not be more different!  Or interesting.

IRestoration Hardware.ndustrial Era is foggy London gray, blue, black, wineberry, maroon, olive, charcoal, gray and cream, camel.  Think warmed brushed nickel, golden brass, mahogany, metallics on oak, dual finishes, menswear patterns, stripes, library styling, reclaimed wood (see photo), rivets, lots of traditional bases and legs, caster wheels, Steamer trunk from Restoration Hardware.steamer trunks, vintage luggage, clipped corners. British campaign look.  It is classic and traditional.  This look adds interest to a room.  Spectacular Spaces recommends mixing one or two of the elements listed with what you already own for depth and dimension or one element as a focal point.

Ombre pillow.Cross-town Chic is  very Gen Now. There is a strong 80's  influence with urban brights, white, bold teal, magenta, orange, metro green, grape, taxi yellow, cobalt and gray with brights. Note red, gray and black combinations; high-gloss finishes and tinted metallics. Also popular are irridescence and pops of color in unexpected places. Architectural angles are seen, along with pixelated patterns, type as pattern, chain link, grids and cross-hatching. Ombre is huge and fun!  Try a throw pillow or shower curtain.
