As soon as the owners of this new home walked in the door, they knew they could make it their own with a coastal look that incorporated their love of the beach and water. But it was going to take some work to make the additions and changes to this plain, basic home in a traditional gated community. The good news: it was new and although some construction work was necessary, it required mainly cosmetic additions.
What we did:
Developed a color palette of sea glass tones for accents.
Painted entire home: light grey for living spaces and sea glass tones for bathrooms.
Painted coffered ceilings.
Removed grey backsplash and replaced with blue/green glass backsplash that extends to ceiling.
Redesigned master bath to include a bathtub.
Converted dining room into a functional office.
Reconfigured outdoor room to include outdoor dining area.
Installed new fans.
Installed new lighting.
Added new furnishings, rugs, window treatments, artwork, accessories.
The result:
A coastal-inspired home that incorporates all of the elements of the Southwest Florida lifestyle.
